The beautiful Triple Lady, si 100, was a palomino mare by the legendary Three Bars out of Clabber's Lady V (by Clabber). Frank Vessels, of Los Alamitos, bred and owned Triple Lady.

This classy California mare was fast. Very fast. She also earned a significant honors on the racetrack and later as a broodmare. She was a foundation mare for the Vessels family -- and for Quarter Horse racing.

Triple Lady, si 100, raced 36 times between 1958 and 1961. Her outstanding record shows 12 wins, 12 seconds, and 3 thirds. This formidable mare ran her last race in foal to Go Man Go.

Triple Lady won a dozen races, 6 of them stakes races: Juvenile Championship, Monita Stakes, Autumn Championship, Memorial Day Handicap, Hard Twist Stakes, and Go Man Go Handicap. She finished 2nd in another 12 races (eight of those 2nds in stakes competition): Bay Shore Juvenile Stakes, Pacific Coast QHRA Derby, Pomona Championship, Clabbertown G Handicap, Josie's Bar Handicap, Los Alamitos Invitational, Au Revoir Stakes, and Autumn Championship. Triple Lady had 3 thirds, including two 3rd place finishes in the Hard Twist Stakes and the Miss Princess Invitational.

TRIPLE LADY earned $61,902 for her efforts. In 1959, She was named AQHA Racing Champion Mare and AQHA Racing Champion Three-Year-Old Filly. The following year, Triple Lady earned AQHA Racing Champion Mare honors again.
