King of the Lanes-Charlys Ragtime Band, Band of Azure

On the same day the u.s. army's 173rd Airborne dropped from the sky into northern Iraq in 2003, our mare Charlys Ragtime Band (by Band of Azure) delivered a handsome little brown stud colt. Because our son Donovan was with the 173rd Airborne in Iraq, our boys decided this war-time colt ought to be called "Sky Soldier," a nickname for the soldiers of the 173rd Airborne.

DJ Sky Soldier, by King of the Lanes, a a winner from three starts at two, is a big gelding with a lot of muscle. He is balanced, has good bone, and a gorgeous head. His legs and feet are strong and sturdy. He is very correct. Soldier is extremely athletic and he can really move! Additionally, he has a calm nature and an exceptionally good mind. He is a real sweetheart. As of January, 2005, Soldier stands just over 15.2 hands and is really built!

This horse is eligible for the Bitterroot, Beehive, Bosen $15,000 Added Race Futurity, Bosen $3,000 Yearling Halter Futurity, the Rocky Mountain Classics, Speedhorse Gold & Silver Cup Futurities (barrels and race), the Nebo, the Iowa Double Gold Futurity, the NENHA Weanling Halter Futurity, and the AQHA Incentive Fund.

Note: The Bosen Futurity Soldier is eligible for had an actual purse of $36,000 last year! The only eligible horses are offspring of horses now standing or who have stood at Bosen Land & Livestock. The winning two-year-old last year earned a check for $16,000 with an 89 speed index!

He has great potential in the arena or on the track! He is an absolutely beautiful "hand-made" kind of horse!

The sire of DJ Sky Soldier is King of the Lanes, a beautiful 1997 buckskin stallion, by Lanes Leinster, si 101 and out of Traceana, si 94, a palomino mare by Speckled Trace (by Three Oh's).

King of the Lanes is a winner from 3 starts at 2. His oldest foals are 2-year-olds in 2003. He is sire of two starters, two winners, and one stakes placed (Miss Hempen Lein.)
