Rare Percussion is a big,
very correct colt out of Thoroughbred mare Demeter
and by Rare News (by
First Down Dash).

"Drummer" December 30, 2005
Eight months of age |
This tall colt
is strong and sturdy with good legs, a nice slope to his shoulder and
a well-made hip. Drummer grows more beautiful every day.
"Drummer" is
very athletic and can really dig in when
he takes off. He has
a long, smooth, ground-eating stride. He is coordinated,
quick, very smart — and a real sweetheart to work with. Drummer will be
a
big horse—probably over 16 hands.
Drummer
is by the young First Down Dash sire
Rare News, si 92 (Kindergarten
Futurity
finalist,
Governor's Cup
Futurity Finalist, two-time winner with earnings of
$43,758). His dam, Demeter,
has
produced two
Thoroughbred
starters, one
winner.

THIS GOOD
LOOKING COLT
loves to
race around and around
his paddock—practicing for
a larger
track
someday! He is a sweetheart—very trusting and calm, very friendly
— yet he has a strong sense of leadership about
him.
Drummer is for sale for $3,000. He sells with a free 2006
breeding
(to
approved mare) to First Down Dash son Rare
News,
si 92.
This is
a great opportunity to have a
beautiful colt with a lot of
running potential and a good
mind.

POST SCRIPT.
Drummer unexpectedly died from colic April 23, 2006 (one day before his
first birthday), before he could leave for Arizona. He was a very nice colt
with a bright future. His buyer was refunded his down-payment on this colt,
but he, like us, remains saddened about this nice colt's untimely death.
